Ventured out away from the office today for lunch. Went to "New Amber Indian Restaurant" in Moosic. I HIGHLY recommend it. Their buffet was awesome. Sure, it was a little pricey, but worth it. Fresh Naan bread, different curries. MMM! If you're ever in Moosic, it's on Route 11 in a big green building.

The "Wimpification" of Ozzy
What in the world has happened to Ozzy? Back when I was in high school, heck, way BEFORE I was in high school, Ozzy was feared by parents. He was evil. He bit the head off of a live bat. He got arrested for peeing on the Alamo. He was THE PRINCE OF FREAKIN' DARKNESS!
Now, he's doing ads for CBS promoting getting a colonoscopy. His song "Crazy Train", once a rebel anthem, is now being used in a MINI-VAN COMMERCIAL. How can you be cool if you're doing van commercials?
You just wait. Next they'll get Marilyn Manson to do feminine napkin ads. "Be one of 'The Beautiful People'. Use Acme tampons. You'll have 'Sweet Dreams' when you use them."
It will happen.

Cellphones and Car Windows
You know what really grinds my gears? People who talk on their cellphone with the window open. You wonder what you have trouble hearing me? ROLL UP THE DANG WINDOW until our conversation is over. Me having to scream my lungs out while talking to you does not work for me. I realize that it may be a nice day outside and you want to drive with the windows down. Just do me a favor and roll 'em up until we're done.
That's what really grinds my gears.

The New DL
After 4 trips, 2 weeks, and a lot of frustration, I now have my PA driver's license. I am truly amazed at how many hoops I had to jump through to get it. Last I checked, I'm not Al Quieda.
The one shining thing about my newly acquired license is I look like a criminal! Great pic! Mission accomplished.
I have started the task of getting my PA car tag now. Once again, hoops to jump through. We'll see if I can do this in less than 4 trips to Leonard's Car Tag Service.

Salsa Wrestling. Really.
I gotta tell ya, Saturday night was off the hook at the Hardware Bar in Wilkes Barre! The club was so packed you couldn't hardly move and everybody seemed to be in a party mood.
The reason I was there was to host the "Salsa Wrestling" contest. Girls would jump into an inflatable swimming pool with salsa in it and wrestle. The winner got 500 bucks. Those girls were kicking each other's ass! You would have thought Chris Brown was wrestling Rihanna the way they were going at it. The other cool thing about it is the girls were really attractive. That never hurts.
Anyway, I say "Well Done, Wilkes Barre." I'll be back to the Hardware Bar.

RIP MCA
From Billboard Magazine:
Adam Yauch, one-third of the pioneering hip-hop group the Beastie Boys, has died at the age of 47, Rolling Stone has learned. Yauch, also known as MCA, had been in treatment for cancer since 2009. The rapper was diagnosed in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland.
Yauch sat out the Beastie Boys' induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, and his treatments delayed the release of the group's most recent album, Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2. The Beastie Boys had not performed live since the summer of 2009, and Yauch's illness prevented the group from appearing in music videos for Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2.
Yauch co-founded the Beastie Boys with Mike "Mike D" Diamond and Adam "Ad-Rock" Horowitz in 1979. The band started off as a hardcore punk group, but soon began experimenting with hip-hop. The band broke big with their first proper album, Licensed to Ill, in 1986, and further albums Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head and Ill Communication cemented the band as a true superstar act.
In addition to his career with the Beastie Boys, Yauch was heavily involved in the movement to free Tibet and co-organized the Tibetan Freedom Concerts of the late Nineties. Yauch was also directed many of the Beastie Boys' music videos under the pseudonym Nathaniel Horblower. In 2002, he launched the film production company Oscilloscope Laboratories.
